Pregnancy Interaction : Thioford Plus Gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

How to Use : Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Apply it on the affected area and allow it to stay before spitting or rinsing.
Driving : It is not known whether Thioford Plus Gel alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney : Thioford Plus Gel is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Thioford Plus Gel may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Mechanism of action : Thioford Plus Gel is a combination of four medicines: Diclofenac Topical, Linseed Oil, Menthol and Methyl Salicylate which relieve pain and inflammation. Diclofenac Topical and Methyl Salicylate are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Linseed Oil is a plant-based oil which further reduces inflammation and improves blood circulation at the site of application. Additionally, it increases the penetration of Diclofenac Topical through the skin. Menthol produces a cooling effect on the skin.
